A quality assurance and inspection scheme operated by the Security Industry Authority is a voluntary programme for those companies wishing to evidence their best practice working systems. Covering subjects such as fit and proper checks of all staff, insurance levels, community engagement and staff welfare to name but a few, the scheme recognises companies who are striving for excellence in the security industry.
Vespasian Security Director, Simon Hodge leads the drive for accreditation and quality assurance within Vespasian. When asked about being awarded the coveted ACS status by the SIA he said,
“I have really enjoyed the project. Year after year our teams do great work for our clients as well as the wider community and the ACS scheme is a brilliant way for that hard work to be recognised. Being awarded ACS status shows staff, clients and the communities in which we operate that we are committed to quality and staying for the long term.”
Vespasian Security’s newly acquired ACS accreditation joins the quality mark of ‘Safer Contractor’, health and safety focused scheme that was awarded to Vespasian back in 2016. This annually assessed health and safety quality assurance inspection scheme is yet another way Vespasian seek to evidence to stakeholders their commitment to safety and quality.
Vespasian Security’s Managing Director, Oliver Gardiner spoke about the accreditation;
“As so often is the case with fledgling companies, Vespasian grew swiftly with our systems based on a few key aspects, efficiency, fairness and best practice. We have aspired to holding ACS status for several years which makes this award even sweeter.”
The ACS status is for both SIA Door Supervision and SIA Security Guarding which also rewards the efforts of both key arms of Vespasian’s operations.
Oliver went on to say, “ACS status is a prerequisite for several prospective clients and we see this award as a key moment in the history of the development of the company.”
The ACS scheme awards a score to a security company and so the Vespasian team are already planning to beat the score achieved in the 2018 assessment.
As a result of the SIA ACS scheme, Vespasian can now officially say,
Vespasian Security Ltd holds SIA approved Contractor Status for the provision of Door Supervision and Security Guarding services
We have never worked with a contractor from ANY area of the festival who is so dedicated to providing a first class service.
Glad to see some friendly faces. When security greet you with a smile and a friendly hello, it’s hard not to give back and treat them with respect. Starting exchanges on the right foot makes a difference. Glad to see a security team that give the impression that they’re on ‘our’ side.
Vespasian has been with us from the start and we work well together as a team. We meet regularly to discuss service provision and they are flexible enough to meet our changing needs. Their expertise and experience of the industry have been invaluable to us and to the success of our venue.
