Facilities SIA Security/Door Supervisor

Vespasian Security is recruiting friendly and professional SIA Door Supervisors for our portfolio of Facilities Security sites in Portsmouth.

Operating all year round, the list of locations see a variety of deployment options for team members. Many of the sites are high profile businesses, where Vespasian team members provide a service that is a crucial part of business continuity plans. Our team members are part of the day to day business goals of our clients’ organisations and as such, our clients have exacting standards and high expectations of the service provided to them by Vespasian.

Successful candidates will be offered a regular position amongst Vespasian’s highly sought after Facilities Management Security Team.

A variety of shift patterns are available depedning on site team members are deployed to. Range from 7.75 hours per day t 14 hours night shifts, there are a number of options available to the best candidates. The pay rate for these positions are £8.75-£9.50ph PAYE paid on a monthly basis. Each team member earns holiday pay per hour on top of this hourly rate which is paid on holidays dates requested by the team member.

Depending on the location, applicants will either be responsible to an area Supervisor, Team Leader or directly to a Senior Operations Manager.

The Facilities Management focused SIA team member role involves:

  • Working as part of a team
  • Meeting and greeting customers
  • Patrolling internal and external areas of facilities
  • Being part of counter crime initiatives
  • Dealing with conflict
  • Physical intervention (when necessary)
  • Recording incidents
  • Dealing with emergencies
  • Communication with colleagues via radio
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints

The position requires applicants to demonstrate a number of key skills:

  • Customer care skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Good communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Hold an SIA Licence in Door Supervision or Close Protection
  • Be a team player
